I'm being asked many times these days the inevitable question; "are you affected by the crisis?" I answer that although at the moment I'm as busy as always and maybe even more then average, I believe this question needs to be answered approximately 6 months from now… only then I will be able to tell if the impact of the crisis was as strong as suspected.

Here are two issues that got nothing to do with how well you compose your frames and how professionally you set the lighting, and yet if you fail to address those two you can easily mess it for you and your clients, ruin your reputation and lose lots of money. I'm talking about Backup and Checklist. Today I'll write about backup.

In the previous post I talked about the meaning and importance of backup. Now I want to talk about something even more basic; the checklist.

Scenario: You were hired to shoot an event in a distant place. It takes 3 hours to get there by car and so you leave home 4.5 hours before the opening so you won't be so tight in schedule. You get there exactly 3 hours later. The weather is great, the place looks awesome and your client is already there taking care of last minute preparations.
